Welcome
Hello and welcome to our new redesigned web site. I am quite excited about this new site as there are lots of plans for future content. In the future you can expect to find a barbecue recipe section, a 'grannies cookbook' archive and lots of travel information. At the moment however, the number one task is to raise money for charity i.e. the building of homes in South Africa. As anyone who knows me will know, a subject very dear to my heart.

Okay time to get serious now...
As we all know the continent of Africa is one of the most beautiful places on earth. With it's diverse range of fauna and flaura it is unrivalled anywhere on the planet. It is also full of fantastic people who spend their entire lives simply trying to stay alive, trekking for hours on end to find the tiniest amount of water to maintain life. we have all seen the television photographs of the shanty towns they all live in.
As you will see from the pages of this web site I have spent a small portion of my life in Africa. I don't have the faintest idea how many people were homeless in the early eighties when I was first there. What I can tell you now is that today there are ten million people in South Africa alone. Yes that's TEN MILLION.
In order that I may give something back I am going to South Africa in September 2008 to help Habitat For Humanity build houses to try and help the situation. I know it is a small contribution but everything counts. Habitat For Humanity help many nations around the world to provide cheap, affordable housing.
This is where I need your help... I need to raise around £1,800 to help fund the cost of the trip and a house. As well as including obvious expenses to get me there this also includes a donation towards the cost of materials etc. Obviously the more I can raise then the more there is to go towards the charity and towards the building of more houses.

As you will see on this site I have a small part-time wedding video business. I shall donate £50.00 from each wedding booked this year toward the Habitat for Humanity charity. Please also do not be offended by the advertising links on this site as I shall also use any money raised from these toward the charity.
