George

I am currently working as an AA patrol. My main hobby is photography and have a small part time business taking wedding photographs and video's. I love getting out walking in the local countryside around West Lothian and I have started putting articles about that on this site. I recently travelled to South Africa to help build homes for Habitat for Humanity. You can view photographs from my trip on facebook.

Elaine

I work in local government with regards to exporting. I am too busy keeping George and Darren in control to bother about hobbies but do a lot of reading. I love going on Holiday.

Darren

I am currently reading Mathematics & Physics at the University of  Edinburgh. I help out at my local BB group. I am engaged to Amanda and plan to marry next year.

Our Animals

We have a cat called Keera. She is a Tonkinese who is very vocal, thinks she is posh, is a pain in the a**e and unfortunately is pretty good at catching birds and mice but the bell on her collar usually helps to stop this. We also have two Guinea pigs who still have no names, our rabbit Smokey passed away just recently (old age) and we have loads of fish in our pond.

Where We Live:

We live in central Scotland midway between Edinburgh and Glasgow. This allows easy access to the shops of both cities and of course the University of Edinburgh. It also allows easy access to the Highlands where a drive of no more than an hour can get us into the Mountains. The Cairngorms are about two hours fifteen minutes.

What We Do Together:

We love holidays. Places we have visited include France (many times), Holland, Italy, The USA, Bulgaria, The Czech Republic (as well as the former Yugoslavia), Lithuania and Spain. Elaine has travelled to China and Darren has been to Belgium a few times recently. Elaine and George lived in South Africa for a couple of years in the eighties and we have of course visited our home countries many times. We often holiday in Scotland with our friends Tom and Janice and last year we went to Ireland. City breaks have taken us to places such as Paris, Prague, Barcelona, Sofia and much more. George went to Kenya in February 2007 (if you hadn't already noticed).
